My Morning Jacket is an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in 1998. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster. Carl Broemel
Carl Broemel (born January 30, 1974) is an American rock musician. He currently plays guitar, pedal steel guitar, saxophone and sings back-up vocals for the Louisville, Kentucky band My Morning Jacket. He played guitar in the pop/rock band Old Pike and in the alternative pop/rock band Silvercrush. History Broemel grew up on the northside of Indianapolis, Indiana. The son of a symphony musician, he attended school and graduated from Pike High School. In 2007 Broemel was listed among '' Rolling Stone's'' "20 New Guitar Gods" along with My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James. He has also released two solo albums. Jonathan Russell Fritz, formerly known as Jonny Corndawg, is an American alternative country musician who was born in Missoula, Montana. He has released four albums, two under the name "Jonny Corndawg" and two as "Jonny Fritz". Career In 2008, Fritz (then known as Jonny Corndawg) released his debut album, ''I’m Not Ready To Be a Daddy''. Dead Confederate was an American alternative rock band, formed in Augusta, Georgia and based in Athens, Georgia. The band's sound was described as a mix of alternative country, psychedelic rock and grunge, and has drawn comparisons to Nirvana and My Morning Jacket.
