Bob Furler
Bobbie Mortimer Furler (28 June 1918 – 13 August 1998) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Hawthorn Football Club, Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL). Furler, who was a nephew of North Adelaide Football Club, North Adelaide champion Percy Furler started his career in South Australia, playing at North Adelaide where he won the Most Consistent player trophy in 1940. After a few years service in the RAAF and the Australian Army, he played with Hawthorn. Furler's next port of call was CANFL club Ainslie Football Club, Ainslie in Canberra. He captain-coached Ainslie to the premiership in 1947. He represented the territory at the 1947 Hobart Carnival, in section two, and shared the Tassie Medal with Les McClements. Percy Furler
Percy Stewart Newling Furler (20 February 1904 – 23 January 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played for and coached North Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Furler was a key figure in North Adelaide's 1930 and 1931 premierships, including the latter as captain. Originating from the Noarlunga Football Club in the Southern Football Association, Furler played there together with his four brothers, Ray, Albert, Ross and Leslie, and was rejected by Sturt prior to joining North Adelaide. In 1947, Furler was appointed Secretary of the North Adelaide Football Club, a position he would only hold for the one season. In 2002 Furler was an inaugural inductee into the South Australian Football Hall of Fame. Hans Furler
Hans Furler (5 June 1904 – 29 June 1975) was a German christian-democrat politician. He was the president of the European Parliament (or, more precisely, precursors of the European Parliament) from 1956 to 1958 and from 1960 to 1962. Early life Furler was born in Lahr in the Baden portion of the Black Forest. After graduating from Lahr grammar school, Furler studied law in Freiburg in Breisgau, Berlin and Heidelberg. In 1925 he passed his first state examination and in 1928 he earned his doctorate with a thesis on "The Police's emergency measures and the state's obligation to compensate". In December 1928, he passed the assessor's examination and first worked as an advocate in Pforzheim. Since 1930 he also lectured in patent law. In 1932, he habilitated at Technical University Karlsruhe. In 1940, the University appointed him extraordinary professor for ''industrial property and copyright''. From 1945 to 1948, he worked as the lawyer of a paper factory owned by his in-laws. ...

Irina Lashko (russian: Ирина Лашко; born 25 January 1973, in Samara) is a Russian diver who, after her marriage with an Australian, became known as Irina Furler.
