Furie (film)
''Furie'' ( vi, Hai Phượng) is a 2019 Vietnamese martial arts film directed by Le-Van Kiet. It stars Ngô Thanh Vân, Veronica Ngo, Cát Vy, Phan Thanh Nhiên, Phạm Anh Khoa and Trần Thanh Hoa. ''Furie'' was released on 22 February 2019 in Vietnam and was released on 1 March 2019 in the United States, where it received positive reviews from critics with praise for the action sequences and Ngo's performance. It was selected as the Vietnamese entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. Plot Hai Phượng is an ex-gangster who is estranged from her family after her father disowns her for having an affair with a gangster and getting involved with criminal activities. After giving birth to her daughter Mai, Hai Phuong decides to lie low in the countryside, where she works as a debt collector and barely supports her daughter or herself. HMS Wilhelmina (1798)
HMS ''Wilhelmina'' was a 32-gun fifth-rate frigate of the Royal Navy. She was previously a Dutch ship and had been built in 1787 for the Dutch Republic as the ''Wilhelmina''. She was renamed ''Furie'' in 1795, after the establishment of the Batavian Republic as a client state of the First French Empire. Like other Dutch ships at that time, she was pressed into service as part of French plans to support the Irish Rebellion of 1798 in the hope of destabilising Britain. The British captured her and the Dutch corvette ''Waakzaamheid'' in 1798 while the two were supporting French and Irish forces involved in the Irish Rebellion. The Royal Navy took both into service, with ''Furie'' regaining her original name. Sailing as HMS ''Wilhelmina'', she spent the bulk of her later career in the East Indies, serving mostly as a troopship.
