Funny Face (comedian)
Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng (born on October 1, 1981, popularly known as Funny Face, is a Ghanaian comedian, known for his role in TV3 Ghana's sitcom Chorkor Trotro. He is also known as SwagOn-Papa. Career Funny Face's first appearance on the ''Night of 1010 Laughs'' was in 2010. It is believed that he made his breakthrough to comedy through this. Funny Face played the role of driver's ''mate'' in the TV3 sitcom ''Chorkor tro tro'', where he was known as ''Chemu'' before quitting, for reasons unknown. His role in ''Chorkor Trotro'' gave him much popularity. He has also performed at the comedy dubbed ''Night of 1018 laughs''. His interest in music made him work with hiplife artist Castro de Destroyer. He featured in Castro's ''Sweet Banana'' while Castro also featured in Funny Face's ''Odo Bekumi''. TV3 is a Ghanaian free-to-air television network in Ghana. Chorkor Trotro is a Ghanaian comedy series which aired on TV3 between around 2014 and 2018. Overview This comedy series, mainly in Twi and pidgin portrays the daily experience of people with "Trotro" minibuses in Ghana. It is centered on the hustles of a bus driver and his conductor (referred to as "mate" in Ghana) and their interactions with passengers. The setting of this series is a bus station at Chorkor, a suburb of the Greater Accra region in Ghana, hence the title of this series being "Chorkor Trotro". In Ghana and neighboring countries, tro tro are privately owned minibus share taxis that travel fixed routes leaving when filled to capacity. While there are ''tro tro'' stations, these vehicles for hire can also be boarded anywhere along the route. Theophilus Tagoe (born 1 May 1982, disappeared 6 July 2014), popularly known as Castro or Castro Under Fire, was a Ghanaian hiplife recording artist and musician.
