The club was founded as a merger between ''Funnefoss IF'' and ''Vormsund IL''. Funnefoss IF was founded on 6 December 1924, and Fu/Vo counts this as their founding date. Funnefoss was a member of the Workers' Sport Confederation for a short time. The merger took place on 5 February 1967. It covers the villages Funnefoss, Oppåkermoen and Vormsund in Nes, and the home ground is at Oppåkermoen. The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football (soccer), football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the Norway national football team, men's and Norway women's national football team, women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien and Toppserien). Nes is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Årnes. Name The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old ''Nes'' farm (Old Norse: ''Nes'' which means "headland"), since the first church was built here. The actual ''nes'' is the headland made by the two great rivers Glomma and Vorma, which have their meeting point just south of the farm. Prior to 1889, the name was spelled ''"Næs"''. Amateur boxing is a variant of boxing practiced at the collegiate level, at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as many associations. Amateur boxing bouts are short in duration, comprising three rounds of three minutes in men, and four rounds of two minutes in women, each with a one-minute interval between rounds.
