Fundeni, Călărași
Fundeni is a communes of Romania, commune in Călărași County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Fundeni. As of 2011, the population of Fundeni was 5,658. The commune is located in the northwestern part of the county, on the border with Ilfov County. It lies north of Oltenița, west of the county seat, Călărași, and east of downtown Bucharest. Fundeni lies on the left bank of the Dâmbovița (river), Dâmbovița River. The river Pasărea (Dâmbovița), Pasărea passes through the commune, forming Lake Fundeni, before discharging into the Dâmbovița just south of Fundeni. The commune is crossed by the county road DJ301, which connects it to the south to Plătărești, Gălbinași, Călărași, Gălbinași, Vasilați, and Budești (where it ends in Roads in Romania, national road DN4), and to the north to Cernica and Pantelimon, Ilfov, Pantelimon in Ilfov County (where it ends in DN3). Cernica
Cernica is a commune in the southeast part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, with a population of 9,425 as of 2002. It is composed of five villages: Bălăceanca, Căldăraru, Cernica, Poșta and Tânganu. The commune lent its name to the Cernica Monastery, an early 17th-century Orthodox monastery in the nearby town of Pantelimon. The name is also given to the Cernica Forest, the largest wooded area around Bucharest. Obor
Obor is the name of a square and the surrounding district of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. There is also a Bucharest Metro station (on the M1 line) named Obor, which lies in this area. The district is near the Colentina and Moșilor neighborhoods. Obor stands in the place of "Târgul Moșilor", a fair famous throughout Wallachia, which was held twice a week. Line 800 is one of Căile Ferate Române, CFR's main lines in Romania, having a total length of . The main line, connecting Bucharest with the Black Sea coast at Mangalia, passes through Fetești, Medgidia, and Constanța. Otopeni () is a town in Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, some north of Bucharest along the DN1 road to Ploiești. It has 15,850 inhabitants, of which 99.0% are ethnic Romanians. One village, Odăile, is administered by the city. Henri Coandă International Airport is located inside Otopeni. Afumați is a commune in the east of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania, composed of a single village, Afumați. Its name is derived from the Romanian verb "a afuma", meaning Smoking (food), to smoke food.
