Eva Fuka
Eva Fuka-Engle (in Czech Eva Fuková, née Eva Podešvová, May 5, 1927 – November 25, 2015) was a Czech American photographer. Biography Fuka was born on May 5, 1927 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Her father, Frantisek Podesva, was a painter and her mother, Marie, was a writer. Her grandfather was a founder of the daily Czech newspaper ''Lidové noviny''. In 1942, she attended the State School of Graphic Arts in Prague under Professor Rudolf Skopec, and later studied at the Academy of Visual Arts, from 1945 to 1950. She married fellow-artist Vladimír Fuka in 1950, and gave birth to her only child, Ivana, in 1951. In 1967 she defected with her family to the US. Her first husband died from diabetes in 1977. She married David H Engle in 1986. At the time of her death, Fuka was retired and split her time between New York City, Prague, Paris and the French Alps where she spent her summers. is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kōji Seo. It was serialized in Kodansha's ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from February 2014 to April 2018, with its chapters collected in twenty ''tankōbon'' volumes. It is a sequel to Seo's previous manga series ''Suzuka''. It was published online in English by Crunchyroll. A 12-episode anime television adaptation produced by Diomedéa aired from January to March 2017. Plot Fuuka is a sequel to the 2004 manga ''Suzuka''. The story follows Yuu Haruna, a loner and an avid Twitter user that made a promise with his childhood friend Koyuki Hinashi of starting a band. Sidi Haneish Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield complex in Egypt, in the western desert, about 376 km (235 miles) west-northwest of Cairo. The airfield, known as Haggag el Qasaba by the German Luftwaffe, was the location of one of the most daring raids during World War II by the British Special Air Service (SAS). On the night of 26 July 1942, SAS Detachment "L", also known as "Stirling's Raiders", attacked the airfield, then under Luftwaffe control. Driving a convoy of eighteen jeeps, each carrying 3 or 4 British or French commandos, the raiders destroyed or damaged around forty Luftwaffe aircraft. The attack damaged the Luftwaffe's capability during the German invasion of Egypt and also, by the destruction of many transport aircraft, severely diminished its ability to re-supply German land forces in the field.
