Fuga (film)
''Fuga'' is a 2006 Chilean-Argentine drama film directed by Pablo Larraín. It is Larraín's directing debut. Plot The story follows Eliseo Montalbán (Benjamín Vicuña) and his traumatic childhood experience of witnessing the tragic and horrifying death of his sister on a piano, combined with the accidental creation of a piece of music that he believes carries a curse of death. This traumatic incident shapes Eliseo into a musical prodigy with an obsessive and disturbed personality, particularly fixated on the ominous musical piece. As he matures, Eliseo eventually composes a masterpiece, a Rhapsody based on the haunting music, which tragically leads to the death of his love interest, the pianist Georgina (Francisca Imboden), moments after she starts performing it at a packed Municipal Theater in Santiago. Pablo Larraín
Pablo Larraín Matte (; born 19 August 1976) is a Chilean filmmaker. He has directed nine feature films and co-directed one television series, including the Academy Award-nominated films ''No (2012 film), No'' (2012), ''Neruda (film), Neruda'' (2016), ''Jackie (2016 film), Jackie'' (2016) and ''Spencer (film), Spencer'' (2021). In 2017, Larraín and his brother Juan de Dios were the producers of Sebastián Lelio's ''A Fantastic Woman'', which was the first Chilean film to win the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Alejandro Edmundo Trejo Zapata (born 8 August 1959) is a Chilean theater, television, and voice actor. He is best known for 2001's '' A Cab for Three'', for which he received Best Actor awards at the Cinemanila and Gramado film festivals. Héctor Eugenio Noguera Illanes (born July 8, 1937 in Santiago), is a Chilean television, theatre and film actor, and also a theatre director. Noguera is the son of Héctor Noguera Prieto (grandson of José Joaquín Prieto Vial and Yolanda Illanes Benítez. He studied at Colegio San Ignacio school and graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He was married to Isidora Portales and they had two daughters, Amparo and Piedad.
