Fuchun Secondary School
Fuchun Secondary School (FCSS) is a co-educational government secondary school in Woodlands, Singapore. History The school was first opened on 2 January 1986, housed in a new S$7.3 million campus along Woodlands Avenue 1. It was officially opened by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for National Development Lee Yiok Seng on 5 August 1987. As announced by the Ministry of Education on 7 April 2021, the school will be merged with Woodlands Ring Secondary School in 2024 and move to the premises of Woodlands Ring Secondary School. Co-curricular activities The school offers a total of 24 extra-curricular activities, which are labelled as co-curricular activities (CCAs) by the Singapore Ministry of Education. Woodlands () is a planning area and residential town located in the North of Singapore. As of 2019, the town has a population of 254,733. It is the densest planning area and is the regional centre for the North Region of the country. This is a list of secondary schools in Singapore. Most secondary schools in Singapore offer a four-year Express course (Special course for Special Assistance Plan schools) or a five-year course leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Ordinary Level. Some schools offer the six-year Integrated Programme, which lead to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level or International Baccalaureate Diploma. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a military cadet corps youth organisation supported by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education. National Police Cadet Corps
The National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) is one of the national uniformed group for youths between age 13 to 17 in Singapore. The organisation is supported by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Established in 1959, it trains young boys and girls in the values of law enforcement and public safety. Brief history Following Singapore's successful elections of 1959, the new government, among other policies, began to pressure the Singapore Police Force (SPF) to form a youth unit on the lines of the long serving military cadet organizations of the island. Hong Ling (born Somaline Ang Ling; ; 16 August 1994) is a Singaporean actress. Early life and education Born to a Thai mother and a Singaporean Chinese father, Hong graduated from Fuchun Secondary School. She has two siblings, one of whom is a younger brother. She was scouted while studying at Temasek Polytechnic, though she disrupted her studies due to career interest as an actress.
