Fu Shan
Fu Shan () is a small hill in Hong Kong. It is situated on Lantau Island north of Tai O and stands at a height of above sea level. It is notable for a trail on its ridge that allows one to view the threatened Chinese white dolphins species jumping from the water into the air. Access Fu Shan is only accessible by foot. It can be approached in a few different ways. One way of reaching the summit is to make a sharp right after going past Tai O Heritage Hotel at the western end of Shek Tsai Po Street and follow the signage along the way. Lantau Island (also Lantao Island, Lan Tao) is the largest island in Hong Kong, located West of Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, and is part of the New Territories. Administratively, most of Lantau Island is part of the Islands District of Hong Kong. A small northeastern portion of the island is located in the Tsuen Wan District. Tai O
Tai O is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The village name means ''large inlet'', referring to outlet for the waterways (Tai O Creek and Tai O River) merges as it moves through Tai O. Geography On the southwest part of Lantau Island, Tai O River splits to the north (as Tai O Creek) and west and at this fork lies the island referred to as Tai O. Two pedestrian bridges cross the river on its northern and western forks. The village is located mostly on the banks of the river. Chinese White Dolphins
The Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin (''Sousa chinensis'') is a species of humpback dolphin inhabiting coastal waters of the eastern Indian and western Pacific Oceans. This species is often referred to as the Chinese white dolphin in mainland China, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore as a common name. Some biologists regard the Indo-Pacific dolphin as a subspecies of the Indian Ocean humpback dolphin (''S. plumbea'') which ranges from East Africa to India. However, DNA testing studies have shown that the two are distinct species. A new species, the Australian humpback dolphin (''S. sahulensis''), was split off from ''S. chinensis'' and recognized as a distinct species in 2014. Tai O Heritage Hotel
The Old Tai O Police Station is a former police station in Hong Kong. It is located on the small hill next to Tai O Ferry Pier, at the south-western tip of Tai O, which can be considered the most westerly point within Hong Kong. formerly known before the handover as Naval Coastal Observation Station, Tai O. Architecture The police station consists of two 2-storey blocks: a main block and an outhouse block linked by a footbridge at first floor level. The outhouse block has Arts and Crafts architectural features. Conservation The Old Tai O Police Station was listed as a Grade III historic building in 1988, and as a Grade II historic building in 2009.
