Frédéric Teixido
Frédéric Teixido (born 27 May 1972) is a French former professional rugby league footballer who represented France in the 1995 and 2000 World Cups. Playing career Teixido began his career with the Limoux Grizzlies. In 1994 he was selected by France and played in a test match against Great Britain. He was subsequently selected to play for France in the 1995 World Cup. In 1996 Teixido moved to the Super League, joining the Paris Saint Germain club. Teixido spent 1999 with the Sheffield Eagles in the Super League. He was again selected for France for the 2000 World Cup. In 2001 he toured New Zealand and Papua New Guinea with the French national side. Limoux Grizzlies
XIII Limouxin, also known as Limoux Grizzlies, are a semi-professional rugby league club from the town of Limoux in the Aude area in southern France. They play in the Elite One Championship. The club was formed in 1951. They have won the French rugby league championship three times and Lord Derby Cup on two occasions. The Stade de l'Aiguille is their home stadium. History On 22 October 1951 after a disagreement with the French rugby union the club switched codes and under the name Sporting Club Limoux XIII they entered the amateur Federal League. In the 1955–56 season they won the cup and were runners-up in the league. In 1962 the club entered the National League and after reaching the cup semi-final in 1967 they lifted the championship title in 1968 in Toulouse against AS Carcassonne, 13–12, after extra time in front of 15,000 fans. The Sheffield Eagles are a professional rugby league club that play in the Betfred Championship. The club play their home games at the Olympic Legacy Park (OLP) on the former site of Don Valley Stadium, their former ground. The original club was formed in 1984 and formerly competed in the Super League. The new, current club was formed in 2000 following a merger of the old club with Huddersfield Giants. Paris Saint-Germain Rugby League, commonly known as Paris Saint-Germain () and familiarly as PSG Rugby League or PSG RL, was a French professional rugby league club founded in 1995, and based in the city of Paris in France. The club was the rugby league department of Paris Saint-Germain until 1997. PSG Rugby League played in the highest tier of European rugby league football, the Super League. Stade Sébastien Charléty in Paris, with a seating capacity of 20,000 spectators, was their home ground. However, the capital club played once at Parc des Sports et de l'Amitié in Narbonne.
