Frédéric Mathieu
Frédéric Mathieu (; born 6 November 1977) is a French politician. A member of La France insoumise, he was elected Member of Parliament for Ille-et-Vilaine's 1st constituency in the 2022 French legislative election supported by NUPES. Mathieu intended to stand again in the 2024 French legislative election. With the founding of the New Popular Front, he was not re-nominated. Biography Early life Frédéric Mathieu is the son of a police officer father and a nurse mother from the Paris region. Born in Melun , in Seine-et-Marne. He moved to Rennes at the age of 12 with his family. He studied economics at University of Rennes 1. His activist activity began in the 2000s within the Socialist Party. The La France Insoumise group (french: Groupe parlementaire LFI-NUPES) is a parliamentary group in the National Assembly founded following the 2017 legislative election. Together (coalition)
Together (french: Ensemble, stylised as Ensemble !) is a liberal political coalition in France. Formed in November 2021 as Ensemble Citoyens, it includes Renaissance (RE, formerly known as En Marche), Democratic Movement (MoDem), Horizons, En commun, and the Progressive Federation. The coalition included the parties Agir and Territories of Progress (TDP) until they were merged into the rebranded Renaissance. Renaissance (RE), previously known as La République En Marche ! NUPES
The New Ecological and Social People's Union (french: Nouvelle Union populaire écologique et sociale, link=no, NUPES) is a left-wing alliance of political parties in France. Formed on May Day 2022, the alliance includes La France Insoumise (LFI), the Socialist Party (France), Socialist Party (PS), the French Communist Party (PCF), Europe Ecology – The Greens (EELV), Ensemble! Jean-Luc Antoine Pierre Mélenchon (; born 19 August 1951) is a French politician who was a member of the National Assembly for the 4th constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône from 2017 to 2022. He led the ''La France Insoumise'' group in the National Assembly from 2017 to 2021. Mélenchon has run three times in elections for president of France; in 2012 and 2017, and a strong third in the 2022 election, where he narrowly missed continuing on to the second round in France's two-round voting system.
