Frédéric Chagnon
Frédéric Chagnon (born November 20, 1992) is a Canadian professional football linebacker for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). University career Chagnon played U Sports football with the Montreal Carabins where he was a member of the 50th Vanier Cup championship team. Professional career BC Lions Chagnon was selected in the third round and 24th overall by the BC Lions in the 2017 CFL Draft and signed with the team on May 23, 2017. He played for the Lions for three years where he appeared in 51 regular season games, recording 26 special teams tackles over his tenure with the team. He became a free agent on February 11, 2020 upon the expiration of his rookie contract. Montreal Alouettes (first stint) Chagnon joined the Montreal Alouettes as a free agent on February 12, 2020. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Chris Ackie (born January 26, 1992) is a professional Canadian football linebacker for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The 2022 Montreal Alouettes season was the 55th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 67th overall. In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction.
