Fruta Conquerors FC is a Guyanese football club in Georgetown. The club competes in the GFF Elite League, the top league of football in Guyana. They were league champions in 2000–01, 2017–18 and 2019. The club is named for their sponsor, the beverage company Fruta. They were an inaugural member of the Elite League in 2015–16. Georgetown Football Stadium
Georgetown Football Stadium is a multi-use stadium on Vlissengen Road in Georgetown, Guyana. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 2,000 people. GFF Elite League
The Elite League, often referred to as GFF Elite League is the top level of the football system in Guyana. Contested by 10 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation. Top level before GFF Elite League was GFF National Super League. The competition was formed as the Stag Elite League in 2015 following a hiatus for the 2014-15 season. Its inaugural season consisted of 8 of the 11 FIFA licensed teams from Guyana. The league expanded to 10 teams for its second season, but four teams pulled out before the season began. Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Super League was the top division in Guyana. It was replaced by the GFF Elite League beginning with the 2015–16 season. The league used regional qualifying tournaments to determine participants. In its last installment in 2013–14, five teams from Georgetown, three from Upper Demerara, three from East Coast Demerara, two from Berbice, two from West Demerara, and one from East Bank Demerara were represented. Guyana Mayors Cup
The Guyana Mayors Cup is a major knockout regional football tournament in Guyana. It was created in 1999. It is an annual inter-ward/village Football Championship only open to invited teams. It takes place at the Georgetown Football Club ground, proposed alternate locations include Bourda, Mahaicony Community Centre, Victoria Community Centre and the Den Amstel Community Centre grounds. It is coordinated by former national football coach Lennox Arthur. It was originally between teams in Georgetown, but was expanded to invite teams throughout the country. The number of teams increased from 20 to 24 in 2016 The tournament planned for October 2020 was rescheduled due to COVID-19. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. 2006–07 CFU Club Championship
The 2006 CFU Club Championship is the annual international football club competition held in the Caribbean Football Union/CFU region (Caribbean). The Caribbean Tournament Champion will qualify to the 2007 CONCACAF Champions Cup. The CFU changed the home-away format for this tournament to four group stages at Caribbean sites. Fourteen teams will compete for the Caribbean berth to the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. The first round of the 2006 Caribbean Football Union Tournament consisted of two groups of four teams along with two triangulars which took place between November 30 and December 14, 2006.
