''Frozen 2'' (stylized as ''Frozen II'') is a 2019 American computer-animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The 58th animated film produced by the studio, it is the sequel to '' Frozen'' (2013). The film was directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, produced by Peter Del Vecho, and written by Lee, Buck, Marc Smith, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and Robert Lopez. Chris Buck
Christopher James Buck (born February 24, 1958) is an American film director, animator, and screenwriter known for co-directing ''Tarzan'' (1999), '' Surf's Up'' (2007) (which was nominated for the 2007 Oscar for Best Animated Feature), '' Frozen'' (2013), which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2014, and ''Frozen II'' (2019). He also worked as a supervising animator and story artist on ''Pocahontas'' (1995) and ''Home on the Range'' (2004).
