''Frosina'' is a 1952 Yugoslavian drama film directed by Vojislav Nanović and starring Meri Boskova, Aco Jovanovski and Ljuba Arsova. Produced by the newly-established Vardar Film, it was the first Macedonian language film to be made.Bechev p.41-42 Future star Nadja Regin had a small part in the film. Petre Prličko
Petre Prličko ( mk, Петре Прличко, birth name Petar Parličkov; 13 March 1907 in Veles, Kosovo Vilayet, Ottoman Empire  – 16 November 1995, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia) was a Macedonian actor. According to the periodical ''Razgledi'', he was a "legend of Macedonian theater". Biography Petre Prličko was born on 13 March 1907 in Veles, as Petar Parličkov. He began his career with travelling theaters and in 1931, ended up forming his own theater called "Boem." In 1939 he entered the National Theater in Skopje. During WW2, he became an actor in the Skopje's National Theater, which was formed by the Bulgarian authorities, while Vardar Macedonia was under the Kingdom of Bulgaria. Then he joined the partisan's theater called "Kočo Racin" in 1944, which later became the Macedonian National Theater. He made his film debut in Frosina. Vardar Film ( mk, Вардар Филм) is a film production and distribution company based in Skopje, North Macedonia. It began operations in 1947, when North Macedonia was part of the former Yugoslavia. The company produced the films: Tattoo (1991), Happy New Year '49 (1986), Haj Faj (1987), Tri Ani (1959), The mountain of anger (1968). The studio has made about 700 documentary short and animated films in period from 1947 till 1991. Vlado Malevski
Vlado Maleski ( mk, Владо Малески; 5 September 1919 – Struga, 23 September 1984) was a Yugoslav Macedonian writer, communist activist, publisher and revolutionary. He published several novels and short stories and was the author of the Macedonian national anthem "Denes nad Makedonija" and of the script for the first Macedonian movie, "Frosina". Biography Maleski completed his elementary schooling in Shkodra, Albania, and his secondary schooling in Bitola. He enrolled the University of Belgrade's Law School, but did not finish his studies because of the Second World War. During the war, he was an active participant in the National Liberation War of Macedonia. After the war, he became one of the most prominent writers in contemporary Macedonian. Soon after, Maleski became a director of Radio Skopje.
