Frome and East Somerset is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election. Boundaries The constituency will be composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020): * The District of Bath and North East Somerset wards of: Bathavon South; Midsomer Norton North; Midsomer Norton Redfield; Peasedown; Radstock; Westfield. * The District of Mendip wards of: Ammerdown; Ashwick, Chilcompton and Stratton; Beckington and Selwood; Coleford and Holcombe; Cranmore, Doulting and Nunney; Creech; Frome Berkley Down; Frome College; Frome Keyford; Frome Market; Frome Oakfield; Frome Park; Postlebury; Rode and Norton St. Philip; The Pennards and Ditcheat. Midsomer Norton
Midsomer Norton is a town near the Mendip Hills in Bath and North East Somerset, England, south-west of Bath, north-east of Wells, north-west of Frome, west of Trowbridge and south-east of Bristol. It has a population of around 13,000. Along with Radstock and Westfield it used to be part of the conurbation and large civil parish of Norton Radstock, but is now a town council in its own right. It is also part of the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset. Midsomer Norton is characterised by the River Somer which runs the length of the town centre, the river itself was regenerated with new plant life during the summer of 2012 in a bid to improve the aesthetics of the town centre. Mark Anthony Pack (born 27 July 1970) is a British politician who has served as the president of the Liberal Democrats since 1 January 2020. After the party's leader, Jo Swinson, lost her seat in the 2019 December election, Pack served as acting leader alongside Ed Davey from 1 January 2020 to 27 August 2020, when Davey was elected as leader.
