From First To Last (album)
''From First to Last'' is the third album by From First to Last, released on May 6, 2008 through Suretone and Interscope Records. "Two as One" is the album's first single, which hit the radio on March 17. This is the first full-length album by the band without Sonny Moore (Skrillex) as lead vocalist; the band's guitarist, Matt Good, takes over from him. In contrast to the band's previous album ''Heroine'', the album features a more accessible, alternative rock sound. ''From First To Last'' received mixed reviews from critics, and its change in sound alienated the band's fanbase. Subsequently, despite being given a high profile marketing campaign by Suretone, the album underperformed commercially, and only reached number 81 on the ''Billboard'' 200; as a result, the band split from the label the following year. From First To Last
From First to Last is an American post-hardcore band based in the Los Angeles Area and Tampa, Florida. Formed by Matt Good, Scott Oord, and Parker Nelms in November 1999, the current line-up consists of Matt Good (lead guitar, vocals), Sonny Moore (lead vocals), Travis Richter (rhythm guitar, unclean vocals), and Derek Bloom (drums). The band released their first EP titled ''Aesthetic'' in 2003 which they recorded with founding member and vocalist Phillip Reardon who left the band in 2004 due to personal and creative differences. ''Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount'' followed in 2004 and ''Heroine'' in 2006, both with Moore; both these albums sold a combined total of 304,000 copies in the United States without much radio airplay. Novi ( ) is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the population was 66,243, an increase of 20% from the 2010 census. A northern suburb of Metro Detroit, Novi is located about northwest of the city of Detroit and about northeast of Ann Arbor. Derek Bloom
Derek Bloom (born January 30, 1983 in South Pasadena, California) is an American musician and singer, known for drumming in post-hardcore band From First to Last for all of their time as a band until their revival. He left From First to Last in November 2013, later rejoining in 2017. He is also the drummer for his grindcore side-project with Travis Richter, known as The Color of Violence. Travis Brandon Richter (born November 3, 1981 in Albany, Georgia) is an American musician, Singing, singer and record producer. He is known for being the vocalist and guitarist of the band From First to Last and the lead vocalist of The Color of Violence and The Human Abstract (band), The Human Abstract. He is also a record producer (I Set My Friends on Fire, Snails (DJ), Snails, Lil Zubin, Etc.) and in 2018 cofounded a music venue in Los Angeles, CA called "1720", with Alex Alereza (Nekrogoblikon) and Brett Powell (The Human Abstract (band), The Human Abstract). Matt Good
Matthew Aaron Good (born February 11, 1984) is an American musician, singer and record producer. He is best known for being the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and the only constant member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last from its conception in 1999 until now. He was formerly the guitarist of grindcore band The Color of Violence, which featured future From First to Last members Travis Richter, Derek Bloom, and Joey Antillon. He joined Chiodos vocalist Craig Owens' band, D.R.U.G.S., eventually moving on to produce music under the name Kit Fysto with friend AJ Calderon. He currently owns and operates a music recording studio in Tempe, Arizona called Good Sounds and plays guitar in From First to Last. He also produced Asking Alexandria's self titled album, which was released on 15 December 2017.
