Froilan Baguion
Froilan C. Baguion (born March 7, 1980) is a Filipino former professional basketball player . He was signed by Welcoat of the Philippine Basketball Association in 2006 after not being drafted in the 2006 PBA draft. College career Baguion was a varsity team player for the National University (NU) Bulldogs. During his stay at NU, he is a part of the team that went to their first UAAP Final Four in 2001 (a feat that won't be replicated until 2012), and a championship in the preseason Father Martin Cup in 2003. After the 2004 UAAP season, Baguion signed for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Draft. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The 2008 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Fiesta Conference, also known as the 2008 Smart PBA Fiesta Conference for sponsorship reasons, was the last conference of the 2007-08 PBA season. The 2005 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event at which teams drafted players from the amateur ranks. Father Martin Cup
The Father Edgar Martin Basketball Invitational Tournament, better known as the Fr. Martin Cup, is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It gathers teams from various collegiate leagues, including the UAAP and NCAA, in a basketball tournament just before the start of the collegiate season. It was named after Fr. Edgar Martin, S.J., the former athletic moderator at the Ateneo de Manila University, and former Secretary-General of the Basketball Association of the Philippines. The tournament was established in 1994. UAAP Season 75 Basketball Tournaments
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 75 basketball tournaments are the basketball events of UAAP's 2012-13 season. National University is the host this season. The opening ceremony was held on July 14, 2012, followed by doubleheader basketball games after the ceremonies at the Mall of Asia Arena. The UAAP named former San Beda Red Cubs head coach Ato Badolato as commissioner for basketball. Badolato also served as basketball commissioner for UAAP Season 73. UAAP Final Four
The UAAP Final Four refers to the postseasons of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tournaments. The term "final four" came from the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the United States' men's Division I basketball tournament which is colloquially called as the "final four" in that country. "Final Four" is now a registered trademark exclusive to the American NCAA and no other organizing body within the U.S. can use that name in referring to their tournaments.
