Frithjof Prydz (5 November 1841 – 21 May 1935) was a Norwegian judge. Moss, Norway
is a coastal town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Moss. The city of Moss was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt) and City in 1720. The rural municipality of Jeløy was merged with the city on 1 July 1943. The former municipality of Rygge was merged into it on January 1, 2020. Its administrative district covers areas east of the town, such as the island of Dillingøy in the lake Vansjø. Parts of the town are located on the peninsula of Jeløy. The city of Moss has 30,723 inhabitants (2012). Name The Old Norse form of the name was . Alvilde Prydz
Alvilde Prydz (5 August 1846 – 5 September 1922) was a Norwegian novelist. Biography She was born near Fredrikshald, now Halden in Østfold county, Norway. Her parents were Paul Fredrik Birkenbusch Prydz (1810–1908) a merchant and customs inspector and Andersine Nicoline Lund (1815–1899). She grew up in a large group of children on the farm of Tosterød Fredrikshald. The family moved to Christiania, where Alvilde studies at the local the schools. When she was 19 years old, she earned her first post as a governess in the family of a priest in Telemark. Between 1866–67, she attended a local girls' school (''Nissens Pigeskoles Guvernantekurs''). When the priest and his family moved to Hitra in Sør-Trøndelag county, she went there for three years of work and self-study. In 1880, she gained some attention by the story ''Agn og Agnar'' (1880). The Supreme Court of Norway (Norwegian Bokmål: ''(Norges) Høyesterett''; Norwegian Nynorsk: ''(Noregs) Høgsterett''; lit. ‘Highest Court’) was established in 1815 on the basis of section 88 in the Constitution of the Kingdom of Norway, which prescribes an independent judiciary. Hønefoss
__NOTOC__ Hønefoss is a town and the administrative center of the municipality of Ringerike in Buskerud county, Norway. Hønefoss is an industrial center of inner Østlandet, containing several factories and other industry. As of 1 January 2008, Hønefoss has 14,177 inhabitants. In 1852, Hønefoss received town status and was separated from Norderhov. In 1964, Hønefoss ceased being a separate municipality and became part of Ringerike. Etymology The town is named after Hønefossen, a waterfall on the Begna River.
