''Friends Like These'' is a British game show that was broadcast on BBC One first as a pilot on 6 November 1999 and then as a full series from 12 February 2000 until 20 September 2003. It was presented by Ant & Dec from 1999 to 2001 and later by Ian Wright Ian Edward Wright (born 3 November 1963) is an English television and radio personality and former professional footballer. He works as a pundit for BBC Sport and ITV Sport. Wright enjoyed success with London clubs Crystal Palace and Arse ... until 2003. Format Two five-member teams, one composed of males and the other of females, competed on each episode. They played five head-to-head challenges, with both teams nominating a different member for each of the first four based on clues given by Ant & Dec. The winner of each challenge scored one point for their team. The last remaining member of each team played the fifth challenge, "The Decider", in which each team could score up to five points. Daniel Frederick Wallace (born 16 November 1976) is an English filmmaker, comedian, writer, actor, and presenter of radio and television. His notable works include the books '' Join Me'', '' Yes Man'', voice acting as the narrator for '' Thomas Was Alone'' and as Shaun Hastings for the ''Assassin's Creed'' game series, as well as the TV series ''How to Start Your Own Country''. Biography Early life Wallace was born in Dundee, Scotland. He is half Swiss. He attended Park Place Primary School, also growing up in Loughborough and Bath, England. He began writing reviews for video game magazines at the age of 13 for school work experience: a reviewer had become ill and so Wallace was given the opportunity to review a game. At 18 he started writing comedy, mainly through the magazine ''Comedy Review''. He specialised in media studies at the University of Westminster. Career At 22, he became a BBC producer.
