Friedrich Von Keller (painter)
Friedrich von Keller (18 February 1840, Ludwigsburg - 26 August 1914, Abtsgmünd) was a German Genre art, genre painter. Biography He was the youngest of ten children born to Johann Jakob Keller, a vintner, who died when Friedrich was only nine. Thanks to the support of some patrons, he was able to study drawing at the local trade school. He earned his living as a general craftsman. At the age of eighteen, he went to Stuttgart to attend the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, Royal Art School, but the tuition was too high, so he took drawing classes in the evening at the University of Stuttgart, Polytechincal School. Finally, at the age of twenty-seven, he was awarded a royal scholarship of 125 Ducats and was able to attend the art school, where he studied with Bernhard von Neher and Heinrich von Rustige. Bernhard Buttersack
Bernhard Buttersack (16 March 1858, Bad Liebenzell — 6 May 1925, Icking) was a German landscape painter of the Munich School. Life and work He displayed artistic talent at an early age, was encouraged by his parents and began his studies at the Royal Art School in Stuttgart under Jakob Grünenwald and Albert Kappis. Upon completing his course there, he became a master pupil of Hermann Baisch and Gustav Schönleber in Karlsruhe. He worked in Munich from 1884 to 1889 and was soon appointed a Royal Professor by the Prince Regent Luitpold. In 1891, he was awarded a Gold Medal at the Glaspalast and, the following year, was one of the founders of the Munich Secession. Towards the end of 1889, he moved to Dachau County, inspired by the dramatic landscapes there. The Order of the Württemberg Crown (''Orden der Württembergischen Krone'') was an order of chivalry in Württemberg. History First established in 1702 as the St.-Hubertus-Jagdorden (Order of St Hubert), in 1807 it was renamed the "Ritterorden vom Goldenen Adler" (Order of the Golden Eagle) by Frederick I, and on 23 September 1818 renewed and restructured (at the same time as the civil orders) by William I as the "Order of the Württemberg Crown" with (initially) 3 classes (grand cross, komtur, knight). Rudolf Yelin (14 August 1864, Reutlingen – 28 December 1940, Stuttgart) was a German painter; best remembered for his religious glass paintings. He is generally referred to as The Elder, to distinguish him from his son of the same name. Biography He was born to Rudolph Yelin, a wealthy guano producer, and his wife, Elise née Biermann. Both were pastor's children and wanted their son to pursue a theological career. Oskar Schlemmer
Oskar Schlemmer (4 September 1888 – 13 April 1943) was a German painter, sculptor, designer and choreographer associated with the Bauhaus school. In 1923, he was hired as Master of Form at the Bauhaus theatre workshop, after working at the workshop of sculpture.
