Friedrich Koffka
Friedrich Koffka (22 April 1888 – 5 November 1951) was a German lawyer and writer. Early life and education Friedrich Koffka was born in Berlin. His mother, Luis Levy, listed herself as Protestant despite having a Jewish heritage. His father, Emil Koffka, was a lawyer, and his older brother was the psychologist Kurt Koffka. Friedrich Koffka studied law at the University of Berlin, and took his first state examination in 1910. During the First World War Koffka was first a volunteer nurse, then a soldier. After the end of the war, Koffka entered the service of the Prussian Ministry of Justice in September 1919. From 1921 he was a district court counsellor in Charlottenburg, from 1927 an assistant judge and from 1930 a judge at the Kammergerichtsrat, the Berlin State Court of Appeal. ''Die Zeitung'' (English: ''The Times'') was a German-language newspaper in London published during World War II. It had an average circulation of 15,000 to 20,000 from March 1941 to June 1945 and was read for the most part by anti-Nazi members of the German diaspora. A lighter version was sold overseas and airdropped over Nazi Germany by the Royal Air Force. The paper mainly covered news about the ongoing war and the situation in Nazi Germany. The Law for the Restoration of the Professional Hitler Service (german: Gesetz zur Wiederherstellung des Berufsbeamtentums, shortened to ''Berufsbeamtengesetz''), also known as Civil Service Law, Civil Service Restoration Act, and Law to Re-establish the Civil Service, was a law passed by the Nazi regime of Germany on 7 April 1933, two months after Adolf Hitler had attained power and two weeks after the promulgation of the Enabling Act. It was one of the first anti-Semitic and racist laws to be passed in Germany. Hanns Kerrl
Hanns Kerrl (11 December 1887 – 14 December 1941) was a German Nazi politician. His most prominent position, from July 1935, was that of Reichsminister of Church Affairs. He was also President of the Prussian Landtag (1932–1933) and head of the ''Zweckverband Reichsparteitag Nürnberg'' and in that capacity edited a number of Nuremberg rally yearbooks. Early life Kerrl was born into a Protestant family in Fallersleben; his father was a headmaster. He served in the German Army in the First World War as a Leutnant earning the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class. He joined the Nazi Party (NSDAP) in 1923 and soon afterwards went into regional politics.
