A freshman, fresher, first year, or frosh, is a person in the first year at an educational institution, usually a secondary school or at the college and university level, but also in other forms of post-secondary school, post-secondary educational institutions. Arab world In much of the Arab world, a first-year is called a "Ebtidae" (Pl. Mubtadeen), which is Arabic for "beginner". Brazil In Brazil, students that pass the vestibulares and begin studying in a college or university are called "calouros" or more informally "bixos" ("bixetes" for girls), an alternate spelling of "bicho", which means "animal" (although commonly used to refer to bugs). ''Freshman Year'' is the debut album of Canadian country music duo the Reklaws. It was released on August 27, 2019, via Universal Music Canada. It includes their #1 hit "Feels Like That", as well as the singles " Hometown Kids", " Long Live the Night", " I Do Too", and " Old Country Soul". Singles " Hometown Kids" was released as their debut radio single in June 2017, and became their first charting entry on the Billboard Canada Country chart, peaking at #16. " Long Live the Night" was the second single to radio in February 2018. It peaked at #6 on Canadian country radio and was certified Platinum by Music Canada. The song was released as part of a three-track, digital single that included "Wish You Were Beer" and "Last Call". The Reklaws are a Canadian country music duo from North Dumfries, Ontario, formed in 2012. The duo consists of siblings Stuart and Jenna Walker. They have released three albums, ''Freshman Year (album), Freshman Year'', ''Sophomore Slump (album), Sophomore Slump'', and ''Good Ol' Days''. The duo has achieved three Number One hits with "Feels Like That", "Can’t Help Myself (Dean Brody and The Reklaws song), Can’t Help Myself", and "11 Beers" on the Canada Country chart, in addition to multiple gold and platinum certified singles. Origins The Walker siblings grew up in North Dumfries, Ontario, North Dumfries, Ontario, and are two in a family of seven. ''Shithouse'' (bowdlerized in marketing material as ''S#!%house'' and released in some territories as ''Freshman Year'') is a 2020 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, directed, and produced by Cooper Raiff, in his directorial debut. It stars Raiff, Dylan Gelula, Logan Miller, and Amy Landecker.
