''Freedom of Sound'' is the second solo studio album by Bret Michaels, lead singer of the rock band Poison. It is a country rock album released in 2005, the same year Bret Michaels was a judge on the country music reality tv show ''Nashville Star''. Content The album features fourteen new tracks and four previously released songs (bonus tracks) from his first two studio albums. The lead-off single from the album, " All I Ever Needed" featuring Jessica Andrews appeared on Billboard's "Hot Country Songs" chart, with its best position being number 45. "Something to Believe In" is a song by American glam metal band Poison, released as the second single from their third studio album, '' Flesh & Blood'' (1990). "Something to Believe In" was also released on the '' Best of Ballads & Blues'' album in 2003, with alternate lyrics (part 2). The ballad peaked at number four on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, number five on the Album Rock Tracks chart, number 35 in the United Kingdom, and number 44 in Australia. It was Poison's last top-10 hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Background This song was dedicated to James Kimo Maano, a security guard and best friend of Bret Michaels who had died some time earlier. The cover art for the single depicts a tattoo on Michaels' arm of a cross with the words "Something to Believe In". Jeffrey LeVasseur (born August 27, 1961), known as Jeffrey Steele, is an American country music singer and songwriter. Along with recording his own material, Steele has become a prolific Nashville songwriter, having co-written more than 60 hit songs for such artists as Montgomery Gentry, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, and others. Between 1990 and 1996, Steele was the lead singer and bass guitarist in the country music band Boy Howdy, which recorded two albums and an EP on Curb Records, in addition to charting seven singles on the ''Billboard'' country music charts. Dan Donovan (guitarist)
Dan Donovan is a British singer, songwriter, and guitar player. Born in 1960 to a Welsh preacher, he produces music which uses metaphor extensively to draw on spiritual themes. Career His music career began with a band called Back to Jordan which only recorded one EP and one album. Then he founded the band Tribe of Dan, described on the King Kool website as "cult greb goth outfit" and elsewhere as "swamp rock". The band split after recording only one studio album, and their US label folded shortly after their first release. Following this event he released albums independently, and his sound shifted toward an acoustic feel. Recently he has been involved with several small bands. Eric Brittingham (born May 8, 1960) is an American bass guitarist best known for playing in the band Cinderella (band), Cinderella. Early life Brittingham was born in Salisbury, Maryland. Career In 1983, Brittingham along with guitarist Tom Keifer founded the Rock music, rock band Cinderella in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. Cinderella was signed to their first contract with Polygram in 1985 when they were seen performing at the Empire Rock Club in Philadelphia by Jon Bon Jovi who referred them to his agent. ''A Letter from Death Row'' is a soundtrack album by Bret Michaels, the lead singer of the rock band Poison. The album was released August 25, 1998, and is the soundtrack to the movie '' A Letter from Death Row'' which Bret Michaels wrote, directed and starred in. Max T. Barnes worked as an engineer on the project which also featured guest musicians including Poison band members. Content The album features 13 new songs. The singles include the album titled track "A Letter from Death Row" and "Party Rock Band" which features C.C. DeVille on lead guitar. The recording of "Party Rock Band" was the first time Bret Michaels and C.C. DeVille played together since 1991 when Poison parted ways with C.C. DeVille. Edwin Cole McCain (born January 20, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. His songs " I'll Be" (1998) and "I Could Not Ask for More" (1999) were radio top-40 hits in the U.S., and five of his albums have reached the ''Billboard'' 200.
