Freedom Forward
Freedom Advances ( es, Avanza Libertad; AL) is an Argentine centre-right to right-wing political coalition with legal status in the Buenos Aires Province. José Luis Espert finally ran in the legislative elections with his own alliance of right-wing and center-right parties. The presentation was made after the negotiations with the leaders of Juntos por el Cambio failed. Previously, the alliance in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires also included Javier Milei, until he confirmed in various media that he would compete separately from José Luis Espert. José Luis Espert
José Luis Espert (born 21 November 1961) is an Argentine economist and politician. He is known to be one of the strongest supporters of economic liberalism in Argentina. Since the 2021 Argentine legislative election, he has been a National Deputy elected in Buenos Aires Province for the Avanza Libertad coalition. Espert supports free trade, proposes to deepen the commercial opening with the world, and attacks Mercosur for what he describes as its limitations to this. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. Alberto Emilio Asseff (born 31 October 1942) is an Argentine lawyer and politician who served a National Deputy between 2011 and 2015, reassuming office in 2019. Early life and education Asseff graduated at Law at the University of Buenos Aires in 1968, where he started to be politically active in the centrist Civic Radical Union (UCR). After his graduation, he worked as an advisor in some administrations of UCR's politicians like Ricardo Balbín and Arturo Illia. General elections were held in Argentina on 27 October 2019, to elect the president of Argentina, members of the national congress and the governors of most provinces. Javier Gerardo Milei (born 22 October 1970) is an Argentine politician, businessman and economist currently serving as a federal deputy of Buenos Aires. Milei became widely known for his regular television appearances where he has been critical of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Mauricio Macri and Alberto Fernández administrations. Milei is supportive of the Austrian School of economic thought and considers himself to be a "short-term minarchist", although "philosophically an anarcho-capitalist".
