Free University of Colombia ( es, Universidad Libre), also called Unilibre, is a nonsectarian, coeducational, private and nonprofit university based in Bogota, Colombia, with six satellite campuses located in Cali, Barranquilla, Pereira, Cartagena, Cúcuta, and Socorro. Satellite Campus
A satellite campus or branch campus or regional campus is a campus of a university or college that is physically at a distance from the original university or college area. This branch campus may be located in a different city, state, or country, and is often smaller than the main campus of an institution. The separate campuses may or may not be under the same accreditation and share resources or they share administrations but maintain separate budgets, resources, and other governing bodies. Domingo Esguerra Plata (28 March 1875 – 1965) was a Colombian lawyer who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, Ambassador of Colombia to Brazil, and Ambassador of Colombia to the United Kingdom. Dilian Francisca Toro Torres (born 6 January 1959) is a Colombian physician and politician, she served as Senator of Colombia from 2002 to 2013. Alejandro Galvis Galvis (13 February 1891 – 17 June 1981) was a Colombian publisher and politician. He graduated the law school of the Universidad Republicana de Bogotá. From 1914 on he worked as journalist for the newspapers ''Juventud Liberal'' and ''El Progreso''. In 1919 he founded the newspaper ''Vanguardia Liberal'' which is the leading newspaper of the Santander region of Colombia. Besides his interest as publisher he dedicated his work to politics. He served Colombia as president of the house of representatives, president of the senate, governor of the Department of Santander in 1931 and 1932 and as secretary of defense from 1942 to 1943.
