Free Seed Films is an independent film company. The company has contributed to the No More Page 3 campaign, creating the official advert and campaign song which charted in December 2014. Months later, the concept of the page was removed. The company has also created music videos for British punk band The Blockheads for their singles Express Yourself and Boys will be Boys, from the album Same Horse Different Jockey. No More Page 3
No More Page 3 was a campaign that ran in the United Kingdom from 2012 to 2015, aimed at convincing the owners and editors of '' The Sun'' to cease publishing images of topless glamour models on Page 3, which it had done since 1970. Started by Lucy-Anne Holmes in August 2012, the campaign represented Page 3 as an outdated, sexist tradition that demeaned girls and women. The campaign collected over 240,000 signatures on an online petition and gained support from over 140 MPs, a number of trade unions, over 30 universities, and many charities and advocacy groups. ''The Sun'' ceased publishing topless Page 3 images in its Republic of Ireland edition in 2013, in its UK editions in 2015, and on its Page3.com website in 2017. The Blockheads
The Blockheads are an English rock band formed in London in 1977. Originally fronted by lead singer Ian Dury as Ian Dury and the Blockheads or Ian and the Blockheads, the band has continued to perform since Dury's death in 2000. Current members include Chaz Jankel (guitar and keyboards), Norman Watt-Roy (bass), Mick Gallagher (keyboards and piano), John Turnbull (vocals and guitar) John Roberts (drums). If Watt-Roy is unavailable, bass is often played by Nathan King. There is a rolling line-up of saxophonists that includes Gilad Atzmon, Terry Edwards or Dave Lewis and from time to time, the original sax player, Davey Payne. Soho Radio is an independent online radio station that broadcasts over two channels, Soho and NYC + Culture. The studios are based in Soho, London, and on Lexington Avenue in New York It was founded in 2014, with the New York branch opening in November 2020. Location Soho Radio broadcasts live from two street side studios in Soho, London. The original studio at 22C Great Windmill Street in Soho opened in 2014. The studio featured a shop space at the front, used to host pop up residencies, shops, brands, and events. In June 2019, they opened their second studio at 33 Broadwick Street in Soho. Collapsed Lung (band)
Collapsed Lung are an English, Harlow-based Britpop group, best known for the song "Eat My Goal". They formed in February 1992. History Collapsed Lung was originally formed as a bedroom studio collaboration between Anthony Chapman and Steve Harcourt. The pair had met at Harlow music venue The Square, and despite coming from contrasting musical backgrounds (Harcourt had previously played guitar in metal band Bomberz, whereas Chapman had previously played bass in pseudo-C86 outfit Pregnant Neck) found they had a shared love of funk and the Amiga tracker software Med/Octamed. Eventually, the duo decided to perform a live show, using an Amiga computer on stage as well as live guitar from Harcourt. Miss Baby Sol is a Zairean-English singer and songwriter. She was born in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and resides in London. Musical career In 2011, Miss Baby Sol released her debut EP, which included three singles, "Always", "No No" and "She Cries". "She Cries" was released in support of the efforts of Amnesty International to stop rape as a weapon of war as well as in recognition of its part in establishing the International Criminal Court.
