Jann Arden
Jann Arden (born Jann Arden Anne Richards; March 27, 1962) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress. She is famous for her signature ballads, "Could I Be Your Girl" and "Insensitive (song), Insensitive", which is her biggest hit to date. Early life and education Jann Arden was born in Calgary and moved as a child to Springbank, Alberta, Springbank, Alberta, where she attended Springbank Community High School. Her father was a construction contractor and her mother was a dental assistant. She is the middle child of three children. Arden grew up in a troubled family dynamic. Her father was an abusive alcoholic. Her brother was convicted of First degree murder in the United States, first-degree murder and was incarcerated in Alberta in 1992. ''Uncover Me'' is the seventh album from Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden, released in 2007. "Counterfeit Heart" is the only track written by Jann Arden (co-written with SHeDAISY's Kristyn Osborn). Three additional tracks from these sessions, "Moon River", "What the World Needs Now", and "End of the World", are available from her Myspace site. The album was her best selling-record in Canada in a decade. Lead single "Bring the Boys Home" (originally by Freda Payne) became a Top 10 hit in her homeland. Further airplay singles "At Seventeen", "California Dreamin'" and "Son of a Preacher Man" were made popular by Janis Ian, the Mamas and the Papas, and Dusty Springfield respectively. SHeDAISY () was an American country music vocal group from Magna, Utah. The group consisted of sisters Kristyn Robyn Osborn (born August 24, 1970), Kelsi Marie Osborn (born November 21, 1974), and Kassidy Lorraine Osborn (born October 30, 1976). The group's name is derived from the word ''shideezhí'', a Navajo language, Navajo term meaning "my little sister". The trio began their careers as The Osborn Sisters, were signed to the Nashville division of RCA Records, and recorded an album that was never released.
