Fredericton Public Library
The Fredericton Public Library is a public library located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada; it is the province's most used public library, with over 700 visitors each day. Established in 1955, the current building, designed by Architect Keith L. Graham, was built in June 1975 and remodelled and expanded in 1990. Another extensive renovation took place in 2013 and 2014 which increased the size of all departments and collections. Fredericton Tourist Information Guide, 1991-2005 editions. Large Print
Large-print (also large-type or large-font) refers to the formatting of a book or other text document in which the typeface (or font) are considerably larger than usual to accommodate people who have low vision. Frequently the medium is also increased in size to accommodate the larger text. Special-needs libraries and many public libraries will stock large-print versions of books, along with versions written in Braille. The Daily Gleaner
''The Daily Gleaner'' is a morning daily newspaper serving the city of Fredericton, New Brunswick, and the upper Saint John River Valley. The paper is published Monday through Saturday and began operating in 1880. In April 2006, the paper switched from afternoon to morning publication. The offices of the ''Daily Gleaner'' are located on Alison Boulevard on the city's south side. The ''Gleaner'', as it is called locally, is part of Brunswick News Inc. K.C. Irving bought it in 1968 from Michael Wardell, who had owned it since 1950. The paper has its roots in the earlier paper ''The Gleaner and Northumberland Schediasma'', started in 1829.
