Frederick Blakeney
Frederick Joseph Blakeney (2 July 191316 June 1990) was an Australian public servant and diplomat. Blakeney joined the Commonwealth Public Service in the Department of External Affairs in 1946. His first post as head of mission at an overseas posting was as Minister to Cambodia Cambodia (; also Kampuchea ; km, កម្ពុជា, UNGEGN: ), officially the Kingdom of Cambodia, is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia, spanning an area of , bordered by Thailan ..., Laos and Vietnam. Chatswood is a major business and residential district in the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, 10 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district. Bill Forsyth (diplomat)
William Douglass Forsyth (19093 March 1993) was an Australian public servant and diplomat. Over the course of his tenure, he was noted for his work both within the United Nations, and in promoting Southern Pacific countries internationally. In 1959, Forsyth was appointed Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, a role which he served in until 1961. During his appointment, he was also appointed Minister to Laos. Sir David Eric Fairbairn, (3 March 1917 – 1 June 1994) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Liberal Party and served in the House of Representatives from 1949 to 1975. He held ministerial office as Minister for Air (1962–1964), National Development (1964–1969), Education and Science (1971), and Defence (1971–1972). Early life Fairbairn was born in Claygate, Surrey. His grandfathers both served in the Parliament of Australia— Sir George Fairbairn served in the House of Representatives seat of Fawkner from 1906 to 1913 and in the Senate from 1917 to 1923, and Edmund Jowett was the federal member for Grampians from 1917 to 1922. His uncle, James Fairbairn, was one of three ministers in the Menzies government who were killed in the 1940 Canberra air disaster.
