Frede (born Suzanne Jeanne Baulé, 8 November 1914 – 13 February 1976) was a French host and manager of cabarets in Paris and Biarritz. Openly lesbian, Frede was the first to allow women to dance together in a classic cabaret. She is known for her relationships with actresses Marlene Dietrich, Zina Rachevsky, Lana Marconi, and María Félix. She has been featured as a character in Patrick Modiano's books. Frede Blaabjerg is a Danish professor at Aalborg University. At Aalborg, he works in the section of Power Electronic Systems of the department of Energy Technology. Blaabjerg's research concerns the applications of power electronics, including adjustable-speed drives, microgrids, photovoltaic systems, and wind turbines. By the number of citations, he is the most cited author of several IEEE journals: IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. Early life and career Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, Valkyrien was born Adele Frede; although she may have been a student at the Royal Danish Ballet, she was neither a prima ballerina nor premiere danseuse, as she later claimed. Eric Frede is an American sportscaster who has worked for NESN since 2002. He was previously the play-by-play announcer for NESN College Football Saturday broadcasts until he left NESN and joined NBC Sports Boston and is currently an anchor for the SportsNet Central. Frede began his broadcasting career in New York, covering West Point sports, calling Marist College basketball games on the radio, and working as a production assistant at NBC Sports. From there, he worked at WVII-TV in Bangor, Maine and WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire. Michael Frede (; 31 May 1940 – 11 August 2007) was a prominent scholar of ancient philosophy, described by ''The Telegraph'' as "one of the most important and adventurous scholars of ancient philosophy of recent times." Education and career Frede earned his Ph.D. at the University of Göttingen in 1966 and worked there as an Assistant () from 1966 to 1971.
