Fred Schreyer
Fred Schreyer served as the CEO and Commissioner of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA). Schreyer joined the PBA in October 2002, serving as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He later became the PBA Commissioner in 2003. When Steve Miller (athletics), Steve Miller resigned in September 2005, Schreyer took over the leadership of the PBA, but continued in his role as Commissioner, as well. Schreyer retired in 2011. Professional Bowlers Association
The Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) is the major sanctioning body for the sport of professional ten-pin bowling in the United States. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the PBA membership consists of over 3,000 members worldwide. Members include "pro shop" owners and workers, teaching professionals and bowlers who compete in the various events put on by the Association. The PBA also oversees competition between professional bowlers via the following tours: * PBA Tour – An annual calendar of events, currently running from January to December each year. * PBA Regional Tour – Allows PBA members and qualifying amateurs to compete in weekend events. Steve Miller (athletics)
Steve Miller is an American athlete, coach and businessman from Chicago. Early life Born in Chicago, Miller attended college in his home state of Illinois at Bradley University in Peoria and Governors State University in University Park, earning respectively Bachelor of Science degrees in English literature and physical education and a Masters of Arts degree in contemporary English literature. He relocated to San Luis Obispo, California to receive a Master of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University. Athletics In 1965, Miller played professional American football with the NFL team Detroit Lions, a career path that ended with an injury to his knee after only four exhibition games. After ten years teaching track and English at suburban Chicago's Bloom Township High School, Miller became head coach at California Polytechnic State University until 1981, moving into the same position at Kansas State University until 1987.
