Fred Robarts
Freddie Robarts is a Fijian former professional rugby league footballer who represented Fiji in the 2000 World Cup. Playing career A Bay Roskill Vikings junior, Robarts played for the Te Atatu Roosters in the Auckland Rugby League competition. In 1992 he represented an Auckland-based Pacific XIII that beat the New Zealand Māori rugby league team 46–42. Along with his brother Phil, played for the Waitakere City Raiders in the Lion Red Cup between 1994 and 1995.''Lion Red Rugby League Annual 1995'', New Zealand Rugby Football League, 1995. Te Atatu Roosters
The Te Atatu Roosters is a rugby league club based in Te Atatū, New Zealand. They participate in the Auckland Rugby League competition. They currently have 25 teams across schoolboy, junior and senior grades. The Roosters premier team began the 2022 Auckland Rugby League season, 2022 season in the Fox Memorial Shield competition. Home ground The Roosters play at the Auckland Council, council owned Jack Colvin Park located on the Te Atatū Peninsula, next to the North Western Motorway. The Auckland Rugby League competition has been competed for since 1909 when the first organised match was played between North Shore and City Rovers (won 44–22 by North Shore). The following year an official champion was crowned for the first time, namely the City Rovers club who won the 1910 1st Grade title and were one of the 4 original teams at that time (City Rovers, Devonport United, Newton Rangers, and Ponsonby United).
