Fred Foreman
Fred Foreman is an American politician who served as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois from 1990 to 1993. Biography Foreman was born in Oak Park, Illinois. During his childhood, his family moved to Wildwood, Illinois. Foreman graduated from Warren Township High School. He was accepted to the United States Air Force Academy, but left due to an injury. He subsequently took classes at Loop College, the University of Illinois Chicago, and Carroll University. He played football at Carroll where he graduated in 1970. He earned his J.D. degree from John Marshall Law School and became a licensed lawyer in 1974. In the 1980 election, Foreman defeated Democratic incumbent Dennis P. Ryan for the position of Lake County State's Attorney. Illinois Circuit Courts
The Illinois circuit courts are state courts of the U.S. state of Illinois. They are trial courts of original jurisdiction. There are 24 judicial circuits in the state, each comprising one or more of Illinois' 102 counties. The jurisdiction of six of these circuits courts are solely within the confines of a single county; these are Cook, Kane, Will, DuPage, Lake, and McHenry (all Chicago metropolitan area counties). The other 18 circuits each contain between two and 12 counties. The circuit court has general jurisdiction and can decide, with few exceptions, any kind of case. (The exceptions are redistricting of the Illinois General Assembly and the ability of the governor of Illinois to serve or resume office.) Anton R. Valukas (born 1943) is an American attorney who served as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois from 1985 to 1989. In 2007, he became the chairman of Jenner & Block. He was later appointed bankruptcy examiner during the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. Early life and education Valukas is the son of Anton J. Valukas, a former Illinois Circuit Court judge. His grandfather, Anton Kasmir, migrated to the United States from Lithuania.
