François De Montmorency-Bouteville
François de Montmorency-Bouteville (160022 June 1627) was the second son of Louis de House of Montmorency, Montmorency, Comte de Bouteville, Vice-admiral#France, Vice-Admiral of France under Henry IV of France, Henri IV. In 1612 he became Priory of Le Plessis-Grimoult, prior of Le Plessis-Grimoult in name, and in person in 1616. He remained prior until 1618 when he stepped down in favor of his brother Louis. François succeeded his brother Henri in 1616 and became Duke of Luxembourg-Piney, Duke of Luxembourg and Governor of Senlis (Oise), Senlis. He served with distinction at the sieges of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, Montauban, Royan and Montpellier. After fighting a duel against the Comte de Pontgibaud, he killed the Marquis de Portes in 1625. Dueling had long been forbidden, but the penalty of death was rarely enforced. The Place des Vosges (), originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, France. It is located in the ''Marais'' district, and it straddles the dividing-line between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. It was a fashionable and expensive square to live in during the 17th and 18th centuries, and one of the main reasons for the chic nature of Le Marais among the Parisian nobility. Anselm de Guibours (born 1625) (Father Anselm of the Blessed Mary, O.A.D., french: Père Anselme de Sainte-Marie, or simply ''Père Anselme'') was a French Discalced Augustinian friar and noted genealogist. Biography He was born Pierre de Guibours in Paris in 1625, where he entered the Order of the Discalced Augustinians on 31 March 1644. It was in their monastery (called the ''Couvent des Petits Pères''), attached to the popular Basilica of Our Lady of Victories, that he lived for the next fifty years, dying there on 17 January 1694. Guibours devoted his entire life to genealogical studies. In 1663, he published ''Le Palais de l'honneur'' (''The Palace of honor''), which, besides giving the genealogy of the houses of Lorraine and Savoy, is a complete treatise on heraldry. Adolf Frederick I (15 December 1588 – 27 February 1658) was the reigning Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin from his father's death in 1592 until 1628 and again from 1631 to 1658. Between 1634 and 1648 Adolf Frederick also ruled the Prince-Bishopric of Schwerin as its administrator. Christian Louis I, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (1 December 1623 in Schwerin – 21 June 1692 in The Hague) was a reigning Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Life Christian Louis I was born as Christian I, the son of the Duke Adolf Frederick I and his wife, Anna Maria (1601–1634), the daughter of Count Enno III of East Frisia. On 26 August 1625, when he was only one year old, his father proposed that he be the next administrator of the Bishopric of Schwerin. However, he was never appointed, because when Administrator Ulrik III died on 12 August 1633, the Bishopric fell to Wallenstein as a completed fief. He inherited Mecklenburg-Schwerin when his father died on 27 February 1658. In 1660, he built a Lustschloss near the Ratzeburg Minster. He travelled to Paris in 1662, to the court of Louis XIV. Gaspard III de Coligny, duc de Châtillon, (1584 to 1646) was a French Huguenot, who served under Louis XIII, and was appointed Marshal of France in 1622.
