François Bouchard (ice Hockey, Born 1988)
François Bouchard (born April 26, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for Les Pétroliers du Nord in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH). He is the younger brother of Pierre-Marc Bouchard who also played in the NHL. Playing career Bouchard was drafted in the second round, 35th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. During the 2006–07 QMJHL season, Bouchard led the league in points with 125 for Baie-Comeau Drakkar. On July 15, 2011, Bouchard signed a one-year contract with the Washington Capitals. In the preceding 2011–12 season, on November 8, 2011, Bouchard was traded to the New York Rangers in exchange for Tomas Kundratek. On December 18, 2012, Bouchard joined to the KHL Medvescak in Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). On June 7, 2013, Bouchard signed a contract with Swedish team IK Oskarshamn in HockeyAllsvenskan. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. HockeyAllsvenskan (previously Allsvenskan and SuperAllsvenskan) is a professional ice hockey sports league, league, and the second-highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, after the Swedish Hockey League, SHL. Austrian Hockey League
The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League, ICEHL), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria. It currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020 and as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League during the 2021–22 season. Until 2005–06, the league consisted solely of Austrian teams. KHL Medvescak
The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; ) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Russia (20), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (1), and China (1) for a total of 23 clubs. It was considered in 2015 to be the strongest professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia, and the second-strongest in the world behind North America's National Hockey League.
