François-Xavier Archambault
François-Xavier Archambault, (September 18, 1841 – June 3, 1893) was a lawyer and political figure in Quebec. He represented Vaudreuil in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1882 to 1884 as a Conservative. He was born in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul on Île Jésus in Canada East, the son of Jean-Baptiste Archambault and Marie-Louise Auclair. Archambault was educated at the Collège de Sainte-Thérèse and in Montreal. He was admitted to the Lower Canada bar in 1863 and entered practice with his brother Cyrille. He served as crown attorney and acting solicitor general at Montreal. In 1864, he married Marie-Louise-Octavie Saint-Louis. Archambault was named Queen's Counsel in 1878. He was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat in the House of Commons in 1878 and 1882. Archambault was elected to the Quebec assembly in an 1882 by-election held after the election of Émery Lalonde was overturned. His election was declared invalid by the Quebec Superior Court in 1884. François-Xavier Lemieux (Quebec MLA)
Sir François-Xavier Lemieux (April 9, 1851 – July 18, 1933), often referred to as F.X. Lemieux, was a Quebec lawyer, judge and political figure. He represented Lévis in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1883 to 1892 and Bonaventure from 1894 to 1897. Lemieux was also Louis Riel's lawyer in 1885. He was born at Lévis in 1851 and studied at the college there, at Quebec City and the Université Laval. He articled in law, was called to the Quebec bar in 1872 and became a successful criminal lawyer. In 1874, he married Diane, the daughter of judge Marc-Aurèle Plamondon. Lemieux was the head of Louis Riel's defence team, which included several other leading lawyers from eastern Canada, at his trial for high treason in 1885. Some believe that Riel's lawyers may not have taken advantage of available options for avoiding the death penalty. François-Xavier Tessier
François-Xavier Tessier (September 15, 1799 – December 24, 1835) was a doctor, publisher, and political figure in Lower Canada. He was born in the town of Quebec in 1799. He studied medicine for several years and was qualified to practice as a surgeon in 1820. At the recommendation of the medical board of examiners, he studied medicine at a university in New York and was qualified as a doctor in 1823. In the same year, he was named apothecary for the Quebec Emigrant Hospital. In 1824, he was named assistant surgeon for the militia. In 1826, he established a bimonthly medical publication, ''Quebec Medical Journal/Journal de médecine de Québec''; it was published until the fall of 1827. He helped found the Quebec Medical Society in 1826 and later served as its president. Tessier lived in New York City from 1828 to 1830, where he contributed to a local newspaper. François-Xavier Paré (March 24, 1793 – September 13, 1836) was a political figure in Lower Canada. He represented Hertford in the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada from 1820 to 1824. François-Xavier Octavie Fontaine (7 November 1762, in Saint-Remy, Haute-Saône – 17 May 1812, in Paris) served in the French military in the American War of Independence, the French Revolutionary Wars, and the Napoleonic Wars. François-Xavier Nzuwonemeye is a former Rwandan soldier, who is chiefly known for his role in the Rwandan genocide.
