Franz Rudolf Frisching
Franz Rudolf Frisching (1733–1807) was a Bernese patrician, officer, politician and industrialist. Life and career Franz Rudolf Frisching was the son of Vinzenz Frisching (1689–1764) who was Master of Schlosswil. In 1748 Franz Rudolf Frisching became a member of the Swiss Guard of the Netherlands where he achieved the rank of a colonel.Burgerbibliothek Bern, FA von Tscharner A 126 (16). Canton Of Bern

Junkerngasse
The Junkerngasse ("Nobility Lane") is a street in the Old City of Bern, the medieval city center of Bern, Switzerland. It connects the tip of the Aar peninsula (the ''Nydegg'' neighbourhood) to the Münster of Bern, Münster. The Junkerngasse is the Old City's best-preserved street.Caviezel et al., 170. Béatrice-von-Wattenwyl-Haus
The Béatrice-von-Wattenwyl-Haus (also known as the Frisching-Haus) is a town mansion on the Junkerngasse No. 59 in the Old City of Bern, only a few steps away from the Erlacherhof. The mansion is built up of several medieval houses. This is still visible on the north façade (main entrance) which consists of 3 medieval houses. Between 1695 and 1710 on the order of its owner, the Bernese patrician Samuel Frisching (II), an ancestor of Franz Rudolf Frisching, the mansion underwent a rebuilt by the architect Joseph Abeille. Abeille restructured the interior of the mansion and added the elegant south façade in the Louis XIV style. In 1838 the mansion passed through marriage into the von Wattenwyl family. The last private owners of the mansion, the Bernese patricians Béatrice and Jakob Emanuel von Wattenwyl, had no children and bequeathed the mansion to the Swiss Confederation in 1929. Samuel Frisching (II)
Samuel Frisching (27 June 1638 – 23 October 1721) was a Bernese soldier and politician. Between 1715 and 1721 he served as that city's "Schultheiss", a position not totally dissimilar from that of a modern city mayor. Life His parents' fourth son, Samuel Frisching came from a leading Bernese family. His father, also called , was a chief magistrate and himself the city's Schultheiss between 1668 and 1682. The younger Samuel Frisching completed his schooling in Bern and then went on to study at Geneva between 1656 and 1657. It was while he was in Geneva that in 1658 the twenty year old joined the French Swiss Guard in defiance of his father's wishes. While a soldier he was seriously wounded in battle at Gravelines, narrowly avoiding being buried by a mine explosion. Frisching Faience Manufactory
The Frisching Faience Manufactory was a manufactory that produced high class faience manufactures between 1760 and 1776 in Bern, Switzerland. The manufactory was founded by Franz Rudolf Frisching and his brothers Gabriel Friedrich (1731–1789) and Karl Albrecht (1734–1801) on the grounds of Franz Rudolf Frisching’s country estate, the ''Lorraine Gut,'' outside the Old City of Bern. The manufactory specialised in faience stoves. Because of protectionism the manufactory could not sell one faience stove in the city of Bern. However, the faience stoves of the Frisching Faience Manufactory were very popular with the patricians of Basel and the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
