Franz (Fuxi) Fuchsberger
Franz (Fuxi) Fuchsberger (born Tamsweg, Austria) is an Austrian skier. He started skiing at the age of six. After successfully completing his ski instructors' exam for full certification at the Sports Government Institute in St. Christoph, Austria, Fuchsberger moved to the United States and worked as a ski instructor at Boyne Mountain, Michigan during the 1983-84 season. He later moved to Big Sky, Montana, where he was introduced to the sport of Powder 8 skiing by Hans Schernthaner, a fellow ski instructor. Powder 8 World Ski Championships
A powder is a dry, bulk solid composed of many very fine particles that may flow freely when shaken or tilted. Powders are a special sub-class of granular materials, although the terms ''powder'' and '' granular'' are sometimes used to distinguish separate classes of material. In particular, ''powders'' refer to those granular materials that have the finer grain sizes, and that therefore have a greater tendency to form clumps when flowing. ''Granulars'' refers to the coarser granular materials that do not tend to form clumps except when wet.
