Frans Janssen
Frans Janssen (born 3 January 1955) is a Dutch former footballer who played as a striker. Playing career Janssen started his career at VV Germania in his hometown of Groesbeek, coming through the youth system and playing for the senior side. In 1976 he signed his first professional contract with Willem II, but stayed for only a single season, when he joined NEC Nijmegen. He played at NEC until 1991, becoming the club's all-time top scorer in the process, with 126 goals in 430 games, and was the club's top scorer on five occasions. He also helped the club to achieve promotion to the Eredivisie in 1985 and 1989. He also played in the 1983 KNVB Cup final against Ajax. He retired aged 36 in 1991, after NEC's relegation to the Eerste Divisie. Coaching career Upon retirement, he became assistant manager at NEC, working firstly under Leen Looijen and later Jan Pruijn, leaving this role in 1994. NEC Nijmegen (''Nijmegen Eendracht Combinatie''), commonly known as NEC (), is a professional Dutch association football club based in Nijmegen. The club currently competes in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, following promotion from the 2020–21 Eerste Divisie. De Treffers is an amateur football club from Groesbeek, Netherlands. The club plays in the Tweede Divisie, the highest amateur league of Dutch football. History It was founded in 1919, and its first chairman was Jan Piepenbreier. De Treffers has been a member of the Royal Dutch Football Association since around 1930. In the seasons 1935–1936 and 1936–1937 it was champion of the eastern district of the Eerste Klasse (First amateur league), at the time the highest league in Dutch amateur football. Goffertstadion
The Goffertstadion (), formerly known as McDOS Goffertstadion for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in Nijmegen, Netherlands, located in the Goffertpark. It is home to football club NEC. The stadium was opened on 8 July 1939 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. Since 1951 the opening of the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen, the so-called Vlaggenparade, a parade with the national flags of all participants is held in the stadium. NEC Nijmegen are the tenants of the 12,500 capacity venue. On 19 October 1983 NEC played a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup match against FC Barcelona, still seen as the most important match ever played in the Goffert stadium. It was rebuilt into a modern stadium with all seats covered and heated and updated catering facilities. The first home-match in the new stadium took place in September 1999. Sije Visser (born 27 August 1950) is a Dutch former professional footballer and sports administrator. Known for his hard working defensive play, he remains the record appearance holder at Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen, playing 440 games over fifteen seasons. Career Born in Menaldum, a village in Friesland, Visser started his career at semi-professional club Hermes DVS in Schiedam, where he played primarily as a left-back, until 1971, when he signed his first professional contract at NEC Nijmegen, then playing in the Eredivisie, the top flight of Dutch football. He spent fifteen seasons with the club, becoming the all-time record appearance maker. After his retirement in 1986, he became a board member at the club, and also worked in the scouting department. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a type of progressive lung disease characterized by long-term respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. The main symptoms include shortness of breath and a cough, which may or may not produce mucus. COPD progressively worsens, with everyday activities such as walking or dressing becoming difficult. While COPD is incurable, it is preventable and treatable. The two most common conditions of COPD are emphysema and chronic bronchitis and they have been the two classic COPD phenotypes. Emphysema is defined as enlarged airspaces ( alveoli) whose walls have broken down resulting in permanent damage to the lung tissue.
