Franky Vandendriessche
Franck "Francky" Vandendriessche (; born 7 April 1971) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Vandendriessche was born in Waregem. Among his former clubs are K.S.V. Waregem and Cercle Brugge. International career Vandendriessche played one game with the Belgium national team against Croatia due to the injuries of both Geert De Vlieger and Frédéric Herpoel and Belgium lost 4–0. He was in the team for the 2002 World Cup. Coaching career After his playing career, Vandendriessche became goalkeeping coach for his former team Mouscron. But due to financial uncertainty at Mouscron, he decided to move to Mons during the summer break of 2009. Assistant manager Geert Broeckaert would follow him a bit later. Waregem
Waregem (; vls, Woaregem), sometimes known as Waereghem, is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality lies in the valley of the river Leie, between Kortrijk and Ghent. It is part of the arrondissement of Kortrijk and comprises the towns of Beveren, Desselgem, Sint-Eloois-Vijve and Waregem proper. On January 1, 2019, Waregem had a total population of 38,260. The Belgium national football team represents the country of Belgium in international association football. Cercle Brugge Koninklijke Sportvereniging () is a Belgian professional football club based in Bruges. Cercle have played in the Belgian Pro League since the 2003–04 season, having previously spent several years in the Belgian Second Division following relegation in 1997. Their matricule is the n°12.
