State Road 64 in the U.S. State of Indiana is an east–west highway that crosses most of the southern portion of the state, covering a distance of about . The route parallels Interstate 64, which often causes confusion, as the widest distance between them is at the Wabash River, and both routes exist in Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Gibson, and Harrison Counties. State Road 62 (SR 62) in the U.S. state of Indiana is an east–west route that travels from the Illinois state line in the southwest corner of Indiana to the Louisville, Kentucky area, then northeast toward the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Corydon, the county seat of Harrison County, is in Harrison Township. History The township, like the county, is named for governor, general and ninth President William Henry Harrison. The majority of land in the township was in his possession in the first decade of the 19th century. He donated a parcel of land for the construction of Corydon and sold much of the rest of his land in the township by 1815 to the settlers who were rapidly occupying the countryside. Corydon Battle Site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
