Franklin Warren "Fritz" Hobbs, IV (born July 30, 1947) is an American rower who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics and in the 1972 Summer Olympics The 1972 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the XX Olympiad () and commonly known as Munich 1972 (german: München 1972), was an international multi-sport event held in Munich, West Germany, from 26 August to 11 September 1972. .... He was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and is the older brother of rower Bill Hobbs (rower), Bill Hobbs. In 1968 he was a crew member of the American boat which finished sixth in the Rowing at the 1968 Summer Olympics – Men's eight, eight event. Four years later he won the silver medal with the American boat in the 1972 eights competition.
