Frankie Neal
Frankie Leon Neal (born October 1, 1965) is an American former college and professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for a single season in 1987. Neal played college football for the University of Florida and Fort Hays State University, and thereafter, he played professionally for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. He is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence in the Florida Department of Corrections for numerous drug charges. 1985 Florida Gators Football Team
The 1985 Florida Gators football team represented the University of Florida during the 1985 NCAA Division I-A football season. The season was the second for Galen Hall as the head coach of the Florida Gators football team, having coached the 1984 Gators' final eight games as their interim coach. Because of NCAA probation terms handed down the previous year, Hall's 1985 Florida Gators were ineligible to win the Southeastern Conference (SEC) title, receive a bowl bid, or appear on live television. Florida Gators Football, 1980–89
The Florida Gators football program represents the University of Florida (UF) in American college football. Florida competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They play their home games in Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (nicknamed "The Swamp") on the university's Gainesville campus. Florida's football program was established along with the university in 1906, took on the "Gators" nickname in 1911, began playing in newly constructed Florida Field in 1930, and joined the Southeastern Conference as a founding member in 1932.
