Frankie (Italian Roulette)
''Frankie (Italian Roulette)'' is a short film written and directed by Francesco Mazza, who also acts as the main character. It depicts the story of Italian immigrant Frankie Tramonto, struggling to survive in modern New York City among improbable dates, typical Italian food and a shady immigration lawyer who forces him to confront with a dark choice in order to stay in the U.S. The film was co-written by the New York-based director Amos Poe. Francesco (Francio) Mazza is an Italian writer, script-writer and director. Career From 1999 to 2001, he was a recurring guest on Michele Santoro’s evening talk shows (''Circus, Il Raggio Verde'') aired on Rai 2. In September 2001 he moved to Mediaset, becoming a reporter for the youth magazine ''Mosquito'' aired on Italia 1. In 2003 he joined the crew of TV writer and producer Antonio Ricci. In 2005, he was one of the writer of '' Striscia la notizia'' (aired on Canale 5). He also worked on some Striscia’s spin-offs, such as ''Paperissima Sprint'' and '' Le Nuove Mostre''. Oaxaca FilmFest was an eight-day long international film festival that was permanently cancelled in 2022 without taking place, once it could no longer hide the fact that it devolved into a calculated scam to prey on unknowing filmmakers. At its start, the festival was held every autumn in the Mexican city of Oaxaca from 2010 - 2019, and again from 2021. The Crossroads Film Festival is an independent film festival that takes place annually around the Jackson metropolitan area in the state of Mississippi. The second oldest film festival in Mississippi, Crossroads Film Festival focuses on independent film of all kinds, as well as regional and Mississippi films.
