The ''Frank Sinatra Christmas Collection'' is a 2004 Christmas compilation album from Frank Sinatra. The selection of tracks on the album spans Sinatra's career from 1957 to 1991 and includes four previously unavailable tracks—two previously unissued on CD and two previously unissued in any format—the latter the last Christmas carol Sinatra recorded. Description The album was released by Warner Music Group on October 26, 2004. It features 18 Christmas-themed tracks recorded by Sinatra from 1957 to 1991, including all the holiday tracks recorded by Sinatra during his years with the Reprise label. Two tracks previously unissued on CD were featured on the album. They were renditions of " The Christmas Song" and "White Christmas", both duets recorded with Bing Crosby and the Nelson Riddle Orchestra from the 1957 ABC television special ''Happy Holidays with Bing and Frank'', which aired only once, on December 20 of that year. Bill Miller (February 3, 1915 – July 11, 2006) was an American jazz pianist, who accompanied Frank Sinatra for more than 50 years, and for the last eight years of his life, accompanied Frank Sinatra Jr. Life and career Miller was born in Brooklyn, New York. ''Ring-a-Ding-Ding!'' is a 1961 album by Frank Sinatra. It was the inaugural record on Sinatra's Reprise label and, as the initial concept was "an album without ballads", it consisted only of uptempo swing numbers. The title track was written specifically for Sinatra by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen. The song "Have You Met Miss Jones?" was recorded for the album, though left off the final track listing. ''Ring-a-Ding-Ding!'' reached No. 4; it was given favorable reviews by ''Stereo Review'', and, although a similar album (''Sinatra's Swingin' Session!!!'') was released by Capitol a mere two months prior, ''Ring-A-Ding-Ding!'' managed to maintain a 35-week stay on the charts. Lawrence Benjamin Bunker (November 4, 1928 – March 8, 2005) was an American jazz drummer, vibraphonist, and percussionist. A member of the Bill Evans Trio in the mid-1960s, he also played timpani with the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra. James David Hughart (born July 28, 1936) is a jazz and pop bass player. Biography Hughart was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, and is the son of Frederick (Fritz) Hughart, bassist with Minneapolis Symphony and San Diego Symphony, and Annette Hughart (née Bastien). Hughart began working as a musician in 1953. In 1957 he received a BA (Music Composition & Theory, Bass) from the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, Hughart was drafted and for two years, traveled throughout Europe performing with the Seventh Army Symphony Orchestra.
