Frank Pryor
Frank Commons Pryor (1919-1985) was a senior Australia public servant. Life and career Pryor graduated with first class honours in Philosophy from the University of Sydney, having been a member of the Philosophy Club there in 1939. Within a year of graduation, Pryor began his Australian Public Service career in the Department of the Treasury. In November 1971, Pryor resigned from the Treasury after John Stone was appointed a Deputy Secretary in the Department. In December 1971 Pryor returned to the Australian Public Service as director of the Office of Secondary Industry within the Department of Trade and Industry. In July 1972 the Australian Government approved the creation of 25 new positions in the Office of Secondary Industry, giving Pryor the opportunity to set up the nucleus for a full-scale Department of Secondary Industry. John Stone (Australian Politician)
John Owen Stone (born 31 January 1929) is a former Australian public servant and politician. He was Secretary to the Treasury between 1979 and 1984, and a senator for Queensland, representing the National Party, from 1987 to 1990. Early life Stone was born on 31 January 1929 in Perth, Western Australia. After gaining first class honours in mathematical physics for his bachelor of science degree and representing his state at hockey (under 21), he was selected as the Rhodes Scholar from Western Australia for 1951. Jim Cairns
James Ford Cairns (4 October 191412 October 2003) was an Australian politician who was prominent in the Labor movement through the 1960s and 1970s, and was briefly Treasurer and Deputy Prime Minister in the Whitlam government. He is best remembered as a leader of the movement against Australian involvement in the Vietnam War, for his affair with Junie Morosi and for his later renunciation of conventional politics. Sir Neil Smith Currie (20 August 1926 – 30 July 1999) was a senior Australian public servant and policymaker. Life and career Neil Currie was born on 20 August 1926 in Mackay, Queensland.
