Frank Mason III
Frank Leo Mason III (born April 3, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for SLUC Nancy Basket of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the University of Kansas, where he was the starting point guard for the Jayhawks. For the 2016–17 season, he was the consensus National Player of the Year He was also a consensus All-American selection for his senior season at Kansas. Mason was selected 34th overall in the 2017 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings, where he spent two seasons before signing with the Milwaukee Bucks as a free agent in July 2019. He signed with the Orlando Magic in February 2021. Early life Mason grew up in Petersburg, Virginia and went to Petersburg High School. Frank Mason (cricketer)
Frank Odel Mason (26 July 1926 – 8 May 2012) was a Vincentian cricketer who played for the Windward Islands and Combined Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He played as a right-arm fast bowler. Mason made his senior debut for the Windward Islands in March 1954, against the touring English team. He also appeared against the touring Australians the following season, although the team's matches at that time did not have first-class status. In December 1959, Mason was selected to captain the Windwards in the team's inaugural first-class match, against England. He opened the bowling with Theo Redhead in the match, and thus had the distinction of bowling the team's first over. Mason also captained the Windwards in their next first-class fixture, against another English team (organised by E. W. Swanton) in March 1961. Frank "Titch" Mason (born Francis Mason, 4 April 1879 – 23 October 1969) was an English jockey who was British jump racing Champion Jockey six times between 1901 and 1907, winning the Grand National in 1905 on the horse Kirkland. Biography Born in Liverpool, Mason grew up in nearby Wavertree before moving with his parents to the Wirral. In 1891, he was apprenticed to the riding stables of trainer John Gubbins in Telscombe, Sussex. Aged 14, he rode his first winner at The Curragh in Ireland on 18 April 1893. Algirdas Jonas "Algis" Budrys (January 9, 1931 – June 9, 2008) was a Lithuanian-American science fiction author, editor, and critic. He was also known under the pen names Frank Mason, Alger Rome (in collaboration with Jerome Bixby), John A. Sentry, William Scarff, and Paul Janvier. He is known for the influential 1960 novel ''Rogue Moon''. Biography Budrys was born in Königsberg (today's Kaliningrad) in the then East Prussia, Germany. His father Jonas Budrys was the consul general of Lithuania; as a child he saw Adolf Hitler in a parade in the city. In 1936, when Budrys was five years old, Jonas was appointed as the consul general in New York, instead of Paris as he had hoped. After the Soviet Union's occupation of Lithuania, the Budrys family ran a chicken farm in New Jersey while Jonas remained part of the exile Lithuanian Diplomatic Service, since the United States continued to recognize the pre-World War II Lithuanian diplomats. Frank Henry Mason (1 October 1875 – 24 February 1965), RBA, RI, RSMA was an English artist best known for his maritime, shipping, coastal and harbour paintings, and as a creator of art deco travel and railway posters. His style is described as "light impressionist" and he was a founder member of the ''Staithes Art Club'' whose members are known today as the ''Staithes group'' of artists, or the ''Northern Impressionists''. Early life Mason was born Frank Henry Algernon Mason in Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, County Durham, England on 1 October 1875, the son of a railway clerk. He was educated between 1880 and 1882 as a cadet at the naval school ship at Birkenhead. On leaving HMS Conway, Mason spent time at sea then trained with Parsons as a marine engineer for steam powered ships working at Hartlepool, Leeds and Scarborough, eventually settling in Scarborough around about 1894.
