Frank Jonke
Frank Jonke (born January 30, 1985) is a Canadian former soccer player who played in the USL Premier Development League, Canadian Soccer League, Kakkonen, Ykkönen, Veikkausliiga, and the North American Soccer League. Playing career Born in Pickering, Ontario, Jonke was a product of the Toronto Lynx academy, playing for the U19 Toronto Lynx in the Dallas Cup. In his high school years he attended St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School. Was team captain his junior and senior seasons, leading the team in goals both seasons. Jonke earned a scholarship to attend Notre Dame College, finishing the season as top scorer in the American Mideast Conference with 25 goals. Earning NAIA Honorable Mention All-America Honors, being named to the All-American Mideast Conference first team, also named to the All-Region IX team. Pickering (2021 population 99,186) is a city located in Southern Ontario, Canada, immediately east of Toronto in Durham Region. ''Ykkönen'' (Finnish for 'Number One'; sv, Ettan) is the second highest level of the Finnish football league system (after the Veikkausliiga), although it is the highest league managed by the Football Association of Finland. The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. Canada Men's National Under-20 Soccer Team
The Canada U-20 men's national soccer team (also known as Canada Under-20s or Canada U-20s) represents Canada in international soccer at this age level. They are overseen by the Canadian Soccer Association, the governing body for soccer in Canada. It plays a large role in the development of Canadian soccer, and is considered to be the feeder team for the Canada men's national soccer team. Nick Dasovic
Nick Robert Dasovic (born December 5, 1968) is a Canadian former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He began his career with Croatian club HNK Segesta in 1988, followed by short stints at NK Dinamo Zagreb and NK Zagreb. He moved back to his homeland in 1991, playing first for North York Rockets, then the newly formed Montreal Impact in 1993. In 1995, he joined Vancouver 86ers before returning to Europe briefly to play for Stade Briochin. Another period with Vancouver 86ers in 1996 was followed by a short stint in Sweden with Trelleborgs FF. He finished his playing career with Scottish club St Johnstone, with whom he spent six years and made over 100 league appearances. FC Honka
FC Honka is a Finnish football club based in Espoo. It was founded in 1957 as Tapion Honka, and changed its name to FC Honka in 1975. The club currently play in the Finnish premier division (''Veikkausliiga''), having been promoted for the first time in their history at the end of the 2005 season. FC Hämeenlinna is a Finnish football club, based in Hämeenlinna. It currently plays in the Finnish third Division (''Kakkonen''). The club's manager is Tomi Uusitorppa, and it plays its home matches at Kauriala. The team was formed in 1991. 2008 Canadian Soccer League Season
The 2008 Canadian Soccer League season was the 11th since its establishment where a total of 16 teams from Ontario and Quebec took part in the league. The season began on May 16, 2008, and ended on October 26 with the Serbian White Eagles claiming their first championship by defeating Trois-Rivières Attak 2-1 in a penalty shootout. This was the third consecutive year the White Eagles had reached the CSL finals losing respectively to Italia Shooters in 2006, and to rivals Toronto Croatia in 2007. While during the regular season Italia won their second division title with Trois-Rivières becoming the first Quebec team to claim the National Division title. West Michigan Edge was an American soccer team based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Founded in 1995, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2008, when the franchise folded and the team left the league.
